A very beautiful hybrid by Gloria Lessner.In my opinion this is the very best Aurea yellow available.It is a Whiskers x Charles Grimaldi cross. This one blooms early and often. The flowers are nodding and are clear lemon yellow. Starts yellow and,in hot weather,turns orange after several days. Sets seed easily when out-crossed. |

One of the old standbys.Charles G has been around a long time and with good reason.It blooms freely and often and the yellow/orange blooms are intensly fragrant.This one blooms early and sets large numbers of trumpets. The flowers are nodding to almost pendant and are yellow,turning to pumpkin orange as the flower matures.Charles Grimaldi is often confused with Dr.Seuss but there are differences.CG's leaves are mostly smooth edged while Dr Suess has serrated edged leaves.Charles is also more fragrant than the doctor. A very beautiful double pink hybrid.This is a German variety,bred by,I believe,Monika Gottschalk and grown out here in the states.It has excellent flower shape and medium to light pink color. It is a "must have"for pink lovers. This one blooms early and sets large numbers of trumpets. The flowers are pendant and the leaves are large and dark green. Starts pink and stays that way.
