Our original stock of this cultivar came from Tonny Surrow in Denmark.Tonny had a selected strain named 'Ida'.We grew this one for several years until our stock plants were destroyed by hurricane Dennis. Now we have two excellent seedlings from 'Ida' and will be producing cuttings and seed from these.Remember,'Arborea' likes cooler temperatures and less water than most Brugmansia. Each summer we move our plants to the deepest shade we have available.Direct Florida sunlight will quickly kill them.Propagation is by hardwood cuttings or seed. One note of caution.Know your source for seed. Most seed for sale is not 'Arborea'but white Suaveolens. It brings a smile each year when I see Brugmansia 'Arborea' winning prizes at the Pensacola State Fair and the bloom is actually a common white Suav.
