'Ember Glow'

Brugmansia 'Ember Glow' is a multi hybrid introduced in 2002.The hybridizer is JT Sessions of Country Garden Nursery.This Angel's Trumpet is a cross of 'Frosty Pink' to 'Dr Seuss' with 'Frosty Pink' being the pod parent and 'Dr.Seuss' the pollen donor.This cross yielded two very special new brugmansia.These two were extensively evaluated in different parts of the country before being named and eventually registered.The pod sibling was 'Afterglow'.

'Ember Glow' is a fast growing,free blooming plant.The blooms are medium to large.They measure 8 inches across the face.Flower position is nodding and leaves have smooth edges.Blooms are yellow with an orange corolla edge,have four splits in the calyx and little fragrance.Leaves are medium to large and dark green.Tendrils are 1 1/2 inches long and recurve nicely.The plant itself is medium sized,growing to around eight feet in our soil.As with most Angel Trumpets it likes strong morning sun and some afternoon shade here in zone eight.
