'Inspiration'

Brugmansia 'Inspiration' is a multi hybrid introduced in 2005.The hybridizer is Ludger Schneider and the seed was grown and the plant tested by Country Garden Nursery.This Angel's Trumpet is a cross of 'Everlasting Ruby' to 'Alicia' with 'Everlasting Ruby' being the pod parent and 'Alicia' the pollen donor.This cross yielded many beautiful new brugmansia.Five of these were kept for further valuation and possible registration.Three of these pod siblings have now been destroyed and one is still being evaluated.

'Inspiration' finishes at a size suitable for container growing.' is a fast growing,free blooming plant.The blooms are some of the smallest amoung brugmansia.Blooms measure a scant four inches from the end of the calyx to face of the bloom.They are less than seven inches across the face,including the long tendrils.Blooms have two splits in the calyx and medium fragrance.Leaves are dark green and have smooth edgesTendrils are 1 1/2 to 2 inches long and recurve nicely.As with most Angel Trumpets it likes strong morning sun and some afternoon shade here in zone eight.
